WFMW - Same day babysitting exchange

wfmwheader.jpg
So here’s an idea for you moms who don’t have family around and can’t afford a babysitter very often.
I do an exchange with one of my mom friends every so often. I call her and we set up a day where we both plan to run some errands, take a break etc. Then one of us goes to the other’s house with our kids. We switch houses each week.
We’ll each take a turn right in a row at that house for an hour and a half or so watching all of the kids while the other does whatever she needs to do.
The kids get to play for three hours (play time is never long enough for kids) and there is no worrying about when you’ll return the favor because you both do each other the favor right then.

What a great plan! I still use this option and my youngest is 15. We share car pooling for basketball practice, after school activities, and dinner dates when mom and dad are out. Just because our kids become teenagers, doesn’t mean they don’t need adult interaction while mom and dad are gone!

I’m glad this is working for you…thanks for sharing this great tip.

I recently joined an awesome website that has helped me find an affordable nanny in Manhattan. The service also caters to people who live in other geographical areas. The website address is http://www.mynannycalledinsick.com
