Those were the days
Well, since weekends are always slow in Blogland I figured I’d do a Meme. Just what you wanted, to know more about me! This is one I found over at It Coulda’ Been Worse
High School Spirit
1. Who was your best friend? Her name is Michelle and we are still best friends. I think the most important thing she taught me is how to laugh at myself. I remember many sleepovers filled with MST3K movies, skittles and talking into the wee morning hours about boys or religion.
2. Did you play any sports? I was point guard for my High School basketball team. But that isn’t saying much since try outs were non existent. I went to a private school and if you wanted to play, you were in. (Though I think I was pretty good) :)
Outside of school I played roller hockey and baseball with my little brother and his friends.
3. What kind of car did you drive? I never drove in High School. Got my license at the ripe old age of 19. I just didn’t care to drive. I wouldn’t have had my own car anyway and I could walk or bike to work. I loved riding my bike places.
4. It’s Friday night. Where were you? Usually hanging with my party of five, consisting of Michelle, Brenda, Allie, Loni and I. We all still keep in touch.
5. Were you a party animal? Heck no!
6. Were you considered a flirt? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
7. Were you in the band, orchestra or choir? Choir for one year. Wasn’t to fond of it. I liked singing but only in duets or trios. I was however on the Journalism and Year Book staff.
8. Were you a nerd? I wouldn’t say I was nerd. But I was pretty quiet and shy.
9. Were you ever suspended or expelled? Never
10. Can you sing the fight song? No. We didn’t have a fight song
11. Who was your favorite teacher? My english teacher, Justin Kennington or Mr. K as we called him. He was a friend, not just a teacher and he always encouraged and believed in me though I didn’t believe in myself.
12. What was your school mascot? *snort* A Mongoose
13. Did you go to the Prom? I did indeed. Twice without a date. Once again, went to a very small private school, everybody danced with everybody else’s dates anyway.
14. If you could go back, would you? To repeat it: Never, To change it: Maybe
15. What do you remember most about graduation? That all of the students were in white. The girls wore white dresses and the boys white suits. No traditional gown and cap. I also won the language award. I took 4 years of German and at one point spoke fluently.
16. Where were you on Senior Skip Day? I don’t remember having one.
17. Did you have a job your senior year? Um, yeah, I was a McDonald’s girl. My neighbor actually bought me that CD, the one with the song on it about being in love with a McDonald’s girl. She said she thought of me when she heard it.
18. Where did you go most often for lunch? McDonald’s, Little Caesars and Hogi Yogi were within walking distance so I sometimes went to those places. But honestly, I really enjoyed school lunch. Okay, maybe I was nerd, isn’t that considered a little nerdy?
19. Have you gained weight since then? Who hasn’t?
20. What did you do after graduation? Attended the local college for a year and then got married.
21. What year did you graduate? 1999
22. Who was your Senior Prom Date? My boyfriend Todd.
23. Are you going/did you go to your 10 year reunion? I don’t think my school has reunions. I mean, our graduating class had a total of 19 in it, and that was one of the biggest ones in years. But if we had one I would definitely want to go.
