Dead Man Rising

Karen writes: “Can you smell it? The crisp, clean air of Fall? Show us some pictures of the kids jumping in a pile of leaves. Do you have any pictures of the family carving a Jack ‘O Lantern? What about simply being outside and enjoying the cooler weather? Do you go to craft fairs? Let’s see a picture of the goodies you bought! Do you have a Fall family tradition? Share it with us!”

Those who read my blog know that to me, fall means pretty much one thing, Halloween. Four years ago and two years after I had started teaching myself to cake decorate, I started a Fall tradition of sorts. That of making a fun Halloween cake. So I present for the photo contest, my favorite Halloween cake that I’ve made (idea from a Wilton yearbook):

Simply sweet style from the Simply Sweet Bowtique

*This giveaway has now ended*

I was recently asked to try and honestly review a certain product from the Simply Sweet Bowtique. Amanda, the creator of Simply Sweet Bowtique also runs a contest and review site and stays at home with her two little girls. Talk about a busy woman! I don’t know how she finds the time to make the adorable products she offers in her online store.

I received two white Infant Snap Clips to try. The clips came and not only were they adorable, the paper holder they came with was cute too. But I was still skeptical of the product claim:

“These clips are perfect for the baby with little to no hair.”

Angel Girl, now 6 months old, still has very little hair (as regular readers have seen), and what she has got is very fine. So I was surprised but very pleased when the clips stayed in place. I have tried putting clips of many sizes in Angel Girl’s hair, but none of them stayed as well as Amanda’s Infant Snap Clips. I am definitely planning to buy some more pairs. And Amanda offers an amazing array of ribbon to choose from.

Now, here’s the best part. You have a chance to win the adorable Infant Snap Clips shown below.
