I thought about writing myself a birthday message and pretending my husband had written it after hijacking my blog. But really, I’m not ashamed to admit that today is my favorite day of the year, and that I wrote this post in the hopes of getting lots of birthday wishes! ;)

Summer! I just saw your comment on my blog and could hardly believe my eyes. I was so thrilled to hear from you! I clicked on your name to find your nook and, um, I just read your ENTIRE blog and was actually sad when I reached your very first post before I felt finished being entertained and warmed by your stories and insights.

Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I’ll come back and read/comment and would love to keep in touch. Unfortunately, I’m not as faithful at writing as you are. As you can see, I still have my August masthead up… partially because I can’t find the time, mostly because I’m so proud of the iPod ad I made out of my son that I can’t bear to bring it down, haha.

Hey, remember when we dug up pennies from the couch cushions to buy that Celine Dion CD together? I remember singing that “I’m Your Lady” song with you on repeat for hours. This last March I sang it karaoke on a cruise and of course thought of you. Gosh, I was in such an awkward and confused era when we ran around together… but I have some great memories of hanging out with you!

I got married in 2002 to Steve, he lived in our Orem neighborhood, but wasn’t in that ward of ours since I was 6ish. Our first son came this past April.. he’s 6 months old and I can’t believe it.

Do I win the contest for longest comment ever on your blog? :)
