Take some action

Today is Blog Action Day. According to the Blog action day website I am supposed to:

* Post on my blog relating to the environment
* Donate my days earnings to an environmental charity
* Promote Blog Action day around the web.

Well, I don’t make a dime off of this blog or for being a mom so I have nothing to donate, and honestly I’m not as “green” as I should be so all I would have to say in a post are things like, “Recycle!” and “Don’t litter!”, but that makes for a very short and boring post. So instead I want to direct you over to this gal. Her blog is packed with ideas for becoming more green and doing so in a relatively easy, low cost way. Her blog posts are easy to understand and extremely informative, so go check it out and see if you’re not inspired to go green after reading her posts.

    I had no idea this was going on today… I do make money on my blog, but I just started so I have absolutely no idea how much. I’ve become a lot more “green” since moving to Southern Cali… but I have to admit, they make it easy. Anything that can be recycled goes into one bin and they come pick it up once a week. They have taken their public transportation to hybrid vehicles. And they have a public alert system when we are maxing out the power grid… :)
