What’s wrong with this picture?

backward.jpg

Hubby is a very capable dad. I have full confidence in his ability to handle the kids by himself while I make sure I get time to myself on a fairly regular basis. But there is one thing he just can’t seem to get down.

If he’s in charge of dressing the kids I can always count on them either looking mismatched or having pieces of their clothes on backwards. I like it though, it gives me something to tease him about. :)

I totally knew what was wrong the moment I saw the photo! LOL! My husband is like that, too. You should see the girls’ hair when I’m away! Yikes!

I know what you mean about liking it. Usually I’m the teasable one in our house, but when it comes to dressing the kids? Yeah. I win that one.

That’s too funny! I honestly can’t complain about my hubby. He does a great job in all aspects of parenting!

Oh that’s too funny! I constantly have to remind Ron that certain outfits or shirts have the snaps or buttons in the front or back - he’s so amazed that I can keep track… It’s not that hard though, really! :)

Yea, it’s funny, except when your husband troops in with them at some public venue and your like “What the?! How did that happen?!” My son always manages to have his pants on backwards, seriously, I have to switch them at least once a day.

Daddies just make me smile like that. :)

My husband has a habit of putting our child in shorts. In winter. We live in Minnesota. I can’t figure out how the three-inch gap of flesh between the kid’s cuff and his socks isn’t a dead giveaway.

Lol! Well at least he knows where the clothes are, Salvador’s response to getting George dressed is always: “But where are his clothes?”

We have a standing joke about the first time my husband dressed our daughter. She was less than 2 weeks old, and he put her in a pink and white onesie covered in puppies (that had a pair of matching pants that WENT WITH IT), with a pair of purple pants with a little bunny on the cuff (that also had a shirt that went WITH IT). We just call it puppies and bunnies now. And I pick out the kids clothes.

I always get the comment ” well I thought it went together.”

MelissaNovember 6th, 2007 at 12:54 pm

That is too funny! My hubby can’t put colors together. Not to save his life. The teal shirt and the olive colored pants are both “green” so they should go together, right?

Hilarious! I’m sure he’ll love having his “skills” displayed and commented on your blog! :)

I think maybe Tom and Steve have the same disease…

I’m totally laughing at this now b/c last night my husband put my baby to bed and when I woke up this morning to get him, he was wearing a 3 month old outfit…nevermind that my baby is almost 9 months old and is in the 90th percentile for his weight. poor baby!! haaaa

ChristineNovember 7th, 2007 at 5:24 pm

LOL! I noticed it right away! I’ve caught my husband doing the same thing, and when it comes to snaps, his excuse is his fingers are too big. At least I know, he can change a diaper.

OMG that is so funny!
