Another reason I heart Alton Brown
He’s nerdy and geeky and dorky and cheesy and punny (is that a word?) and sometimes a food and preparation utensil snob (can you say, NO UNITASKERS) but I’ve loved watching his Food network show Good Eats for years now. Because he’s also intelligent, knowledgeable, creative, unafraid to do his own thing and funny. When I want to learn about the mechanics of cooking and baking I turn to Alton. But even this guy sometimes “cheats” in the food area and I’m so glad he did when it came to peanut butter fudge.
I haven’t yet made an old fashioned fudge and had it turn out right. I will get it someday because I’m tenacious like that, but until that day comes I found the most divine substitute. I present to you the easiest peanut butter fudge recipe ever!
And may I add, the most delicious. Even in it’s pre-fudge state. I was spooning the bowl contents into my mouth and sighing while my eyes rolled back in my head, it was that good.

oooo sounds great. I love alton too. So entertaining.
If only I liked Peanut Butter…
I just got back from the store, though, and will giving your maple pecan fudge & magic cookie bars a try. :)
I’ll make that next year…after I’ve lost the fifty pounds I’m sure I’d gain eating it!
I think I’m out of time for this one.
Best wishes
30 seconds of Alton Brown irritates me. I wish you and great weekend!
LOL, I can totally picture you now with your guilty pleasure. YUM!!!
I’ve never had peanut butter fudge! Sounds yummy…
I am also an Alton Fan.
I am now done with school for Christmas break. I started decorating today, I have 2 working days (Saturday and Monday) to get Christmas decorating, shopping, wrapping, mailing, crafting, and baking done before Christmas. If you are on my mailing list, your card and/or gift won’t be there before Christmas.
We sold 3 of 5 puppies last night. One of the puppies we didn’t sell has a broken leg. It isn’t splinted but we were asked to keep her from jumping. She is 7.5 weeks old, so to keep her from jumping I am holding her as I type. When I put her down I want to try the fudge.
Merry Christmas
Aw, poor puppy.
I love puppy’s and dog’s. I really miss having a dog around.
