Share those Christmas Treat Recipes!

Christmas for me, is the time to indulge my taste buds in home made goodness. One shopping trip a year is solely dedicated to buying products for holiday baking. I came home the other day with marshmallows, graham crackers, peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, corn syrup, brown sugar and more. I am ready to make and and stuff my face with delectable Christmas goodies, in addition to giving plenty away to the neighbors. And of course, I’m always looking for fantastic recipes to add to my yearly baking list.

This is where you come in. And at least one of you better play along so I don’t feel like a complete loser.

Welcome to the first ever Christmas Confection Collection!

I want you to share your favorite treat to make during the Christmas season. You can keep it simple with just the written version of the recipe, or you can spruce it up with pictures.
Is there a tradition behind this particular treat? Anything you want to share is welcome.

Anyone is welcome to participate even if you don’t celebrate Christmas. I thought the triple C sound was better than an H(for holiday)CC sound, cause I’m weird like that.

If you would like to spread the word grab the code for the button below and stick it in your sidebar or a blog post.

*EDIT - I can’t fix the code. For some reason it’s putting quotation marks in backward or adding double quotations. So when you copy and past the code, all you have to do is delete quotations where there are double sets and it should work. Or you can right click on the image below, save it to your computer and then upload it to your blog. Thanks

What a fun idea! I’ll have to do this… actually, I posted a recipe tonight… it’s not a holiday one though… well, kind of. But only because it’s easier to get pomegranates in the winter… :)

I left a link, but I’m not sure it worked. Where is your recipe?

I think my name link will take you to my recipe for the Best Gingerbread Ever.

But here’s this just in case: http://laughadaisy.blogspot.com/2007/12/best-gingerbread-ever.html

Thanks!

Hey Summer,
Working on mine. Just a note: in the HTML to cut and paste, the quotes aren’t straight quotes (ie they’re like ” that instead of " that). That can mess with some HTML editors and mess up the code.

Oh, just read the update. Sorry!

Sorry about the Mr. Linky thing! I’m still new to all this stuff, so I kindof muddle through most of the time. Thanks for your help! :-)

Not to monopolize the time… But, I also found a recipe for the best brownies in the world too! (I actually put it in Mr. Linky myself! :-) )

Great idea summer - I hope I get some next week or the week after to join in! We have Christmas ballet rehearsals all week this week and are living in the minivan : )

This is one of our favorite Christmas cookie recipes. Our’s is a little different, though. Mine doesn’t call for vanilla extract and I put those hard cinnamon candies in them. Also, it’s too difficult for me to shape them into wreaths, so I just drop them on a cookie sheet. I’m going to start posting my favorite Christmas cookie recipes, but I’m pretty new to blogging, so I’m not sure if I can do your link!

Summer, I’m so sorry you can’t have chocolate! Although, there are so many good, yummy sweets out there besides chocolate, aren’t there. So many sweets, so little time…. ;-)

So I FINALLY got around to coming by to leave a link for my contribution for this when I saw that you did it for me. Thanks! (Oh, wait, or did you do it to make me feel guilty for not doing it sooner? lol)
