He’s with his wife now
I just learned that President Gordon B. Hinckley passed away during the night. Gordon B. Hinckley was the leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints also known as the Mormon Church. But for those of us who are members, he was more than a leader. He was a Prophet of God.
He has been the Prophet since I was a young teenager and his teachings have been a great influence for good in my life.
Yes, another Prophet will be called to preside over the church, for God being the same now as he was in biblical times has always called Prophets to preach his gospel and lead his church.
Even so, he will certainly be missed.

I listened to KSL radio into the early morning hours, sharing in the same tender feelings as so many across our nation and in the world. I love President Hinckley and hope I can honor him and honor God by being a better person today than I was yesterday.
I’ll certainly miss him, but like you said, he’ll be thrilled to see his wife. He never seemed quite the same after she died.
I saw this on the news. I remember thinking, isn’t he in his 90’s? Yup. He seemed like a good, Godly, kind man and now is reaping his rewards in heaven.
Thank you for the sweet words about Brennan. I know we’ll be together again. I’m doing better about him that I think I ever have. Which helps since school and Ry and bad drug reactions have made this month so exciting.
I gasped when I heard the news. I was saddened by it. Then the news made me really happy. I wanted to shout WooooHooo for him! He’s worked long and hard for all of us and I am so happy that he is with his wife and able to rest from earthly cares. You are right that he will be dearly missed, but it’s almost hard to be sad when you know it’s such a joyous event for him.
I know we couldn’t keep him forever…still…
My first reaction to the news of his death were the same as your post. I am happy that he is finally with his wife. I loved him but he just seemed to miss her so much and I just wanted them to be together. He never quit though. He served until the end. What an amazing prophet of God!
I was at peace that he was again with his wife.
He missed her ; he said so more than once.
He will be missed so much…
