Hersheys for Valentine’s Day

Why not? If you live close enough, February 14th is a great day to visit Chocolate World. You can pick up a last minute gift for that special someone…

and the lines for the chocolate making tour are non existent.

The kiddos get to pretend they are chocolate makers.

But mostly, we just went for the singing cows.

And where is this, exactly? We used to live near the Hershey Factory in California. I loved it!

Janet StevensFebruary 14th, 2008 at 8:09 pm

Looks like you had fun! Sorry I missed it. I have to get up there someday soon!

Holly,
I didn’t know there was Hershey Factory anywhere other than Hershey Pennsylvania. Hershey PA is where the Hershey company began. I wonder if the other factory tours are the same.

That sounds like the perfect valentines activity. Can I come next year?

HillaryFebruary 14th, 2008 at 11:15 pm

I’m so sad I didn’t get to come. It looks like so much fun!

Oh that looks like fun - my dream tour! :)

Abby and Hannah have the same multi-colored skirt that the little girls is wearing in the 3rd photo - and they wearing matching shirts and tights just about like that with it too, LOL.

We also took the “factory” tour when we went to Hershey…it was fun…and very well crafted…giving you a tiny piece of sample chocolate and then dumping you into a huge gift shop where you HAVE to buy chocolate :)

I have a new feature I am starting over at the nest, please come check it out!

I want a chocolate fountain. I want it in the middle of my living room. Yes… and I want strawberries. Lots of them. Is that too much to ask for?
Looks like a fun day!

I wish I could jump into that chocolate fountain!

Mommy WritesFebruary 18th, 2008 at 10:26 pm

I’ve been to Chocolate World so many times it’s frightening. Do they still have the people that dress up like the chocolate bars? My son nearly fainted when he saw his favorite candy dancing around the rotunda.

SummerFebruary 18th, 2008 at 11:07 pm

Cute! We didn’t see any walking candy bars there, but it was a very slow day. I bet they still dress up during the summer.
