What’s in there?

Maria over at Mommy of Four asked me to share the contents of my purse with the world. For me, this ain’t hard. Here is my purse/tote:

Yes, I am still in the diaper bag stage so all of my belongings go in there. So here is my Diaper Bag:
Isn’t it adorable? I hinted in a recent post that I’ve had trouble finding long lasting diaper bags. Shortly after that I decided to splurge on a hand made bag in the hopes that it will long out live the other mass produced versions I’ve tried. And it’s so adorable to boot. I purchased it from Pink Lemonade Boutique Bags and so far I love it! And no, I was not asked or paid to mention this.
Anyhow, aside from the typical baby stuff that belongs in diaper bags here is what I have in there for me:
Tissues, Notepad, Cell Phone, Breath mints, Clear Lip Gloss and my Pocketbook. There should be a pen in there as well but I don’t know where it disappeared to.
No makeup you say? Nope.
I’m a bit of a minimalist. And I’m a mascara and eyeshadow only makeup-wearer-ist (and even then usually only on Sundays for church), so my purse contents are not much to look at.
When I do go out by myself I just throw the cell phone and pocket book into my tote and I’m good to go. As for things like cash and keys, those are always in my pockets.

I balance out the world for you, as I have over 20 items of make up, various receipts, endless pencils, pens and markers, coins, candy, unknown goop, etc in my purse, ha ha ha. Oh, but I know you’re not surprised at all by this.
All I have in mine is a bunch of expired gift cards. I keep my drivers license and my bank card in my pocket, what more do I need? When I have a baby I’ll shove a diaper and a recieving blanket in there, no diaper bag required.
My purse is stuff full of crap!

Very similar to what I could post. In fact I don’t even have my own “purse” - just a wallet with a strap attached! It has an outside pocket for my cell phone, and like you, my keys go in my pocket. When I head out, I throw my “purse” into the diaper bag, and voila! I’m ready to go.
By the way, I love the diaper bag. I’m bored of my black one, so I’m off to check out the website you linked.
What a feakin’ cute diaper bag!!! I only carry around Burt’s Bees lip balm with me, as far as makeup in the purse goes. I don’t go too overboard with the makeup thing either. Never got over that caked-onto-my-face feeling of makeup - I tend to go without unless on a special outing. Even then, I only do the bare essentials.
You don’t need makeup anyway - you’re a beautiful woman.

The more kids I have, the less I pack in my bag! I think with the first one I was always way over prepared and hauled the biggest diaper bag/luggage possible. Now I”m the opposite and never prepared and really don’t care. At least my back doesn’t hurt!
Dang you’re pretty! I’ve been wearing make up pretty much non-stop since I was twelve. I need to break the make-up -> zits -> more make-up cycle! =P

that is my old cell phone and i LOVED it. paul got me a new one for Christmas last year and i had to switch but i will always have a soft spot in me for my samsung.
what a minimal amount of things in your diaper bag..i am impressed and should take a tip from you.

LOL! Oh, it’s ON! Tomorrow my friend. And I’ll be keeping it as REAL as real comes. I’m laughing out loud because I’m already embarrassed.
my purse is a filing cabinet is a make-up holder is a tissue box! And maybe there’s a few sticks of gum and a couple breath mints somewhere in there too. I believe I will go clean it out now.

I love what’s in your purse…I’d better have a look in mine…no make up there either…I don’t have time to do it at home…how could I ever get it done “on the go”?

My story - I was just throwing all of my stuff into my purse because I have not been able to find a diaper bag that I love enough to use every single day. Then I stumbled across this bag organizer designed specifically for new moms called the Pouchmiss. it should come up if you google it. i’m an organizational freak, so this is perfect for me, so of course I ordered one straight away, am waiting for it in the post!
I love your diaper bag. It is adorable! I’m afraid of what is hidden deep inside my dingy diaper bag. Too many old cheerios and gold fish that have escaped from their trusting containers. You look fantastic in your self-photo!

I think my purse is filled with, well…junk. And my wallet. I think you have something with the just toss it in the diaper bag thing. Maybe I’m just a dork, but I still carry both my purse (when I absolutely need it) and the diaper bag. I think I’ll make the switch. Thanks for the idea that just makes sense.
