Spring Break - Day 1

The term spring break, unfortunately does not refer to my husband being on break, nor does it refer to me actually getting a break. Count Dooku however, is home for SEVEN whole school days (9 total). Things could could get ugly around here people.

NOTES

* Boys up and begging me for breakfast at 5:45 a.m.
* Minor drama this morning when boys discovered I had returned Bee Movie to the Redbox
* Count Dooku discovered the Kids Art Kit I purchased and begging me to open it ensued
* In an evident attempt to stave off early morning boredom Obi-Wan was discovered poking Angel Girl’s doughy belly in, repeatedly, while she just sat and watched.
* On our way out to see the speech therapist Obi-Wan fell and scraped his knee, side effect of a mad dash to be the first one to the car.
* On the way out of the speech therapists office, bawling ensued when Count Dooku beat Obi-Wan to the car.
* On the way into the apartment, more bawling ensued as Count Dooku beat Obi-Wan to the door.
* After getting inside the apartment, more bawling ensued as Obi-Wan hit Count Dooku for winning the race.
* Count Dooku pleaded some more for me to open the art kit
* 100 “Clean your room first”s later and boys are enjoying said Art Kit
* It’s 5:04 and I’m ready for bed.

I think it will be a rather long weekend and week next week.

I have to admit, I find poking Jessamine’s belly to be pretty fun.

Seriously, I feel your pain. My kids’ Spring Break starts tomorrow, and I have to pack the house (I mean, the stuff inside the house, please see my other comment!). And I have to pack it alone. Hubby is working in another state. Thus all the packing. Hey, maybe you could go on vacation? Without the children? Can I come, too?

One down, eight to go - LOL! :D

(Uh… sorry… that probably didn’t help, did it?)

I’m feeling your pain…we’re just finishing the week of Spring Break here…I only have a preschooler though…you’d think I’d be getting more done!

Good luck! That’s quite the spring break. I don’t think I ever got more than a couple days off for spring break when I was in school. My husband gets one day (tomorrow, yeah!) for Easter.

It’s interesting what spring break means to different people! For me, the biggest stress is how to afford the additional daycare… I’m glad that ours is only 6 school days though.

Yay for the art kit and I hope the next 8 days go by quickly. :)

Hehe.

LOL I just stared at the screen for an entire minute after typing “hehe” trying to think of something useful to say but I’m way too tired. So… “Hi” :)

Ok, I’m sorry, but I’m just laughing hysterically. Reminds me of the old days. ha!

Makes me wonder how crazy I drove my mom during all the school vacations we had when I was growing up!

Up at 5:45 for breakfast??? Holy cow, forget about it! Maybe it goes to show how much of a morning person I am NOT, but if my kids ask for breakfast before 7:30, I tell them to wait. If they persist, I tell them to grab a chair and climb up to get a banana while they wait. ;)

I’m with you on this! My three are out until the 31st! Luckily, I have a house full of visitors–my parents now and my sister next week–who LOVE the kids! So it really is a break for me! Hang in there!

Hello, hello, hello my dear sister! I decided to start reading your blogs over the past few days. Tonight I got home from work and went through a lot of your previous blogs and wow! I’ve learned a lot about you myself. Quite amazing. :) Anyway, I like your 1st day of Spring Break. Sounds like a delight. Haha. Love you!

P.S. I tried posting blogs on myspace a few weeks ago and it didn’t work out so great… So I’m trying out blogspot. Just thought you might want to know. Love you again!
