A giant greenish mystery

Um, how do you end up with a bruise like this….

…and have no idea how you got it?

You slept on it funny, maybe?

How did you dicscover it? Did you bump it on something and then it hurt? It looks like the kind of bruise that has been there for a few days because if the yellows around the outside. Ouch!

I think it’s just part of being a mother. I’m always finding bruises and cuts and things I didn’t even know I had.

Kristi,
I noticed my arm felt a little sore about 4 days ago. It was the kind of sore that feels like an ingrown hair. But I couldn’t find a lump anywhere. Then yesterday while brushing my hair I turned to the side and it suddenly caught my eye. I was a little freaked out by the size. I’ve never had a bruise that large and I have no recollection of doing anything that would have caused it.

I find mystery bruises all the time, but not usually ones that big! You been thrashing in your sleep and wacking the headboard or something?

ChristineMay 20th, 2008 at 3:41 pm

Ouch! That looks like it really hurts! Marissa bruises pretty easy. I usually don’t, but lately I’ve been finding really weird marks and small bruises and wonder where in the world did they come from.

I vote for kids pulling on your purse/diaper bag 15+ times/day.

I get weird bruises all the time that I have no idea where they come from. Nothing that big, though! I would blame it on my husband, beating me in my sleep–totally joking, of course!!

I wonder if you used your arm to close the car door while your hands were full and maybe it sorta got pushed on really good when it came around?

Not that I’ve done that before….

You must have had one of those alien events.

I always have mystery bruises and sometimes they’re pretty ugly. If I hit something hard enough to know it, I often don’t have a bruise. It’s when I don’t know it happens that I get ugly ones. I break a lot of blood vessels. My mom does too.

I always find mystery bruises all over my body, but none quite that large. ouch!

Well, if it makes you feel any better, not even 20 minutes ago I noticed I had a bleeding 4″ cut on my arm, and I have no idea when or how I cut myself, lol!

Oh, that is awful - does it hurt!?

Have a good day, Summer - see you - Kellan

Momnesia again? I get bruises all the time, but not that big.

Oh, the mystery bruise! I love those.

LaurieMay 23rd, 2008 at 1:28 am

Ouch! I call them the mommy bruises. No idea where they come from.

MelissaMay 23rd, 2008 at 11:52 am

Hmm…. I bruise frequently and usually without cause, but never one that big!
