3 2 1 Penguins

Here’s another review on something you might consider as a Christmas gift for the kiddos.

From Wikipedia:

3-2-1 Penguins! is a series of Christian animated videos (on VHS and DVD) for all ages. The series is produced by Big Idea Productions, the makers of VeggieTales, and teaches practical life lessons inspired by the Bible, generally applying a verse from the book of Proverbs to a realistic situation children face….The stories center on the exploits of Jason and Michelle, twin children who are staying with their eccentric grandmother for the summer. At her cottage, they discover a toy spaceship and four penguin figures. The penguins (named Zidgel, Midgel, Fidgel and Kevin) take the twins on trips around the universe, “inadvertently” teaching them valuable life lessons along the way.”

Thanks to The Family Review Network we got to review 3 2 1 Penguins Save the Planets!, a DVD with 3 fun episodes on it.

In Episode 1, The Green-Eyed Monster, the Penguins with the help of the twins save two groups of sheep who inadvertently create a monster out of their jealousy toward one another. In Episode 2, More is More, the Penguins help a planet full of sugar frosted cereal addicts. And in Episode 3 , Give and Let Give, a planet full of garden gnomes and pink flamingos learn the importance of sharing.

Does that sounds like your sort of quirky fun? I know I thought the episodes were very cute and taught important lessons. The boys loved the penguins and their adventures in space. We think the 3 2 1 Penguins! are great!
