Mommy Thoughts

* What is it about a child’s taste buds that makes them turn their nose down at something as delicious as apple pie, but greedily scarf down a Peanut Butter, Honey & Cheese Sandwich?

* Why will the baby girl willingly put daddy’s hats on her head but pull a light weight bow out of her hair the second I put it in?

* How can the kids listen to one song 50 times in a row and not be sick of it? How can they dance to one song 50 times in a row and not be ready to drop from exhaustion?

* Why does, “Go play in your room,” mean “Ransack the place” to my sons?

* Why is a stubborn “NO!” from a baby girl’s mouth so very adorable?

* How is the amount of love I feel for each of them even possible? Sometimes it overwhelms me.

I totally understand what you mean by the “NO!” being oh-so-cute! When our daughter first started saying that, she would wag her finger for emphasis and it was absolutely adorable.

I have wondered the very same things!

Becca has started saying, “No hugs! No kisses!” In the cutest little stern voice. I have the hardest time not giggling.

We’re so lucky to have them to love, aren’t we?

My littlest says, “No chisses, mommy.” Which makes her all the more kissable!

Uhm… my question is who ever let them try a PB, Honey and Cheese sandwich in the first place? Who tried that first? Who ever thought that up? …I know children are creative… but I don’t really think that any of them would suggest such a combo unless someone told them about it…

You make me excited to ever have children. I love my nephews, and am sometimes amazed at how much love I feel for them, but they are not my own children… one day I will have a better understanding of what you are saying here, and I look forward to that!

I am so with you on the apple pie. I don;t understand why either of my boys don’t scarf it down as fast as Steve and I do. I figure that just leaves more for us.
