Critter Conga
The latest sampling from Team Mom arrived two days ago and I really LOVE this one.
The Critter Conga by Parents is a dream pkg. for any kiddo who loves music. And really, what kid doesn’t? I was thrilled to receive this toy as I’ve wanted a musical instrument toy for the kids for a while. While the Critter Conga is geared toward toddlers, my 5 and 6 year old love it too. Each musical instrument is animal themed. It comes with two giraffe miracas, a twister hand drum, one capuchin monkey rainstick, one crocodile cabasa & clacker, one elephant head whistle, one gazelle whistle, one toucan whistle and two snake drumsticks. All of the instruments are easily stored in the large leopard conga with 10-bell tambourine lid. The conga retails for around $30 and can be purchased at Costco or other retailers.
My one and only complaint about this conga set, is the Toucan whistle. It is just too painfully high pitched for me. If you have a child that knows how to blow it softly then it might not bother you but if I’d known how ear splitting it was I would have hidden it before the kids saw it.

You know, the toucan whistle looks a lot like bird whistles I’ve had in the past. They’re the kind where you put a little bit of water in it (you may have to experiment with the amount) and instead of an ear-piercing sound, it makes a more pleasant bird-like warble. Try it.

Help! My granddaughter received Conga Critters as a Christmas gift and she absolutely loves it! My grandson who is now 14 months was visiting for Easter and the kids played together he loves it also and I am searching high and low to find one for him, it isn’t like they can share as they live 3,000 miles apart. Any suggestions? I have checked online and everyone is out of stock even searched ebay.
Appreciate anyone giving me a point in the right direction.
