Today was much better

It was one of those days where I accomplished more than I set out to do. That is a wonderful feeling.

I deep cleaned our bedroom, vacuuming every nook and cranny and completely reorganizing our closet. Along the way I vacuumed up many more mouse droppings than I would have liked but it felt nice to figure out just where they were at and blocking off certain thoroughfares. Then what a treat (er…sort of), as I was vacuuming out the hall closet I found the mouse hole. I noticed a wooden board nailed into the wall that was very loose, hanging by just a peg and the wood was warped in the center, definitely big enough for a mouse to fit through. When I removed the wood I saw a hole (and I am not exaggerating) the size of my face. I hadn’t noticed the board before because a large box was in front of it. I’m guessing the board was nailed into place by the last residents and over time it came loose enough for mouse re-entry. So I used screws to secure it again. I’m hoping that is it for the mouse problem, other than the one or two mice that may have been in the house when I sealed the hole.

I also cleaned the kids bedroom and vacuumed every square inch there. Plus I got the stove top scrubbed and the kitchen and living room cleaned and vacuumed. I also threw in an eye doctor appointment and got some new contact lenses. Then Count Dooku found my spare set of keys buried deep in the couch. Yay! So it was very busy day yet not stressful since I got so much done. Now to start packing….
