A piece of gum
I just bribed my oldest son to play a board game with his younger brother so that I could get some cleaning done. The prize? A piece of gum.
I don’t know if I should feel ashamed that I bribed him or thrilled that he accepted for so meager an offering.

You should feel thrilled and you should feel creative :) !!

Actually, I feel a little better. that has been Noah’s reward for good behavior every day this week…gum on the way home. I think a bribe for playing with little brother is okay because once they get going, they have fun and don’t remember that it took a bribe to start it in the first place.

We used gum to potty train Emma. She wanted it so badly. Now there are a couple pieces ground into her bedroom carpet, she’s trained, and isn’t having gum again for a long loooong time.

Gumzilla lives at my house and so I know my kids would NEVER just settle for a piece of gum… they can raid their dad’s any time they like.

I say, take advantage of it while you can. LOL!
Oh gosh!
I’m with you - I bribe my kid whenever necessary. He lacks his own “inner motivation”… !
Ah, well. Life with kids is never perfect!
