Abe and the Amazing Promise
Would you believe it if I told you I’d never seen a full Veggie Tales DVD or episode till two days ago?
Thanks to the Family Review Network I got to see the newest Veggie Tale, Abe and the Amazing Promise.
This DVD belongs in the Veggie Tales collection - Values to grow by and is actually two short clips on one DVD. First is Abe and the Amazing Promise, the story of Abraham from the Bible waiting patiently to have a child.
Then comes Blunders in Boo-Boo-Ville where Larry the Cucumber learns that taking time to do things the right way is the best way.
I think both video clips do a great job of illustrating the importance to young children of being patient. The characters are very cute and funny. I enjoyed this DVD and so did my kids. They’re watching it for the third time this week right now!

I love Veggie Tales - they are so funny and always full of good lessons for kids to learn about life. :)

Wow, I’m amazed you hadn’t seen them before yet! They’re entertaining enough that hubby and I also enjoy them. Though, we don’t have any of their videos ourselves, yet - we’ve just borrowed a couple from friends, and also saw a free Veggie Tales movie last summer. Good stuff! Sounds like this one is just as good as the rest. :)

I love VeggieTales too, but only in the 30-40 minute ones. The full-length ones are a little too big of a serving for me!

I hadn’t seen any Veggie Tales until just a few months ago. My son loves them. My hubby had an old cassette tape with Veggie Tales songs on it and my son wore it out watching it. We have a movie of some Bible story ones that we let him watch on Sunday as a “church movie.” We’ve gotten a couple others from the library. I think they are great!
