Ultimate Blog Party 2009

I love blog parties! This is my second year participating in the Ultimate Blog Party over at 5 Minutes for Mom. For those visiting for the first time let me tell you a little about me.

My name is Summer. I’m 27 years old and mommy to three kids. Count Dooku is a head strong 7 year old, Obi Wan is a 5 year old momma’s boy and Angel Girl is my almost 2 year old daughter who mostly delights us with her girly personality. Though after her behavior of late I’m considering changing her screen name to Sassypants.

I’ve been blogging for almost two years now and love the many friendships I’ve made through it. It’s also provided a wonderful outlet for creative writing. I love to write and am about 3/4 of the way through what I hope will be my first novel. I am a person who is not satisfied in life unless I’m learning something new. In addition to writing, reading, scrapping and genealogy my hobbies include:

Well, hello there Summer! I agree….GREAT name! And, after reading through your post…we actually seem to have a LOT in common! I noticed that your “screennames” for your children are Star Wars related! That’s awesome!

Also…I am constantly learning something new, whether it’s a language, knitting or anything at all! I’ve decided this year that I’ll be learning Spanish and Italian. I already speak French, so I figured I would just round out the romance category! :)

I laughed when you talked about your daughter changing to a sassypants! That is my daughter exactly! The last couple of weeks she has been a little snotty….throwing out the no! & stop! left & right!

I just love your middle son’s blog name. I live in a Star Wars obsessed house {husband & oldest son are watching the season finale of clone wars right now} so I think it’s super cute! Your blog is so pretty too, you’re a great designer! Love that you make cakes too, I wish I could do that so I could stop spending way too much $$ on my boys cakes!
