Of Boys and Urine
I stirred yesterday morning to sounds of grumbling, whining and crying that were only vaguely distinguishable in the barely conscious depths of my mind. I was soon asleep again and it wasn’t until after dinner that I asked hubby, “Was something going on this morning with you and Obi Wan?”
He chuckled to himself as he recalled the moment to which I referred. You see, early that morning hubby and the boys had woken up all within a minute or two of each other. And what is it you do when you first wake up in the morning? You use the toilet of course. But three boys (two of which have little capability of holding “it” in) and two toilets, equals a big problem. Especially when one of the toilets is being used for something that takes a bit longer than just peeing and one of the aforementioned boys refuses to run into the other bathroom to share the toilet with his brother.
So Hubby is near yelling at Obi Wan to go into the other bathroom and Obi Wan is clutching his little boy part, crying that he won’t make it. Hubby meanwhile is trying to hurry and just as he stands up, Obi Wan lets go of himself and runs toward the toilet. But letting go is not a good idea, for somehow the act of physically holding himself has restrained the pee and now, without that barrier, the pee starts coming forth before he can reach the toilet. And of course what does a frantic little boy who is whizzing uncontrollably onto the floor do to try and stop the flow? Why grab himself again of course. And now instead of peeing directly onto the floor we have urine spraying through fingers clasped around the little boy part and dousing everything in range.
Then as the flow finally runs out, Obi Wan with tearful eyes and sad voice says to his daddy, “Now wook what you did!”
I’m almost sorry I missed it.

Oh that Obi Wan! He is such a hoot! I’m kinda glad for you that you got to miss it!

Oh my…..
Your hubby is a saint for “chuckling” at remembering that incident. And I, personally, would be very, very, VERY glad I missed it. ;)

I’m in the mist of potty training a little boy so this post totally cracked me up! Thanks for sharing.
Oh, dear. :)
You know, we’ve had so many incidents with little boys and urine … I can’t even number them all. I don’t even want to try, it would be too frightening.
